Hello, friends! I’m so happy you’re here.
What is Lady Parts?
Lady Parts is Coalition’s bi-weekly publication where I interview other women-owned businesses in the outdoors, share my thoughts on current events, and ideally inspire you to take risks and do things differently. I’m Jen Gurecki, the reluctant CEO of Coalition Snow, the only women-owned and operated ski and snowboard manufacturer in the world.
—> A little bit about Coalition
Coalition started as a grand experiment to see what would happen when women had the audacity to challenge an entire male-dominated industry, and to do so on their own terms.
We set out to make a difference. And after more than a decade, we did. We helped propel a movement that forced the industry to pay attention and to change. And we know there’s still work ahead, in this industry and beyond because it’s all connected. We don’t get to leave our identities behind at the chairlift or trailhead.
We believed then, and we believe now, the way forward is on our terms. We never wanted to be like them, to fit into their mold, to conform to a "go big or go home no friends on a powder day mentality." We’re not into going along to get along.
—> And that’s what this newsletter is all about
I’ve been publishing Lady Parts for nearly a decade, with tens of thousands of reads every month. I’m excited to experiment here on Substack, and I look forward to continuing to build community rather than simply existing in traditional e-commerce.
What you’ll read here each week is infused with my values and deepest beliefs. I take risks in this newsletter, challenging the status quo and oppressive systems and structures. I question and I push, with the hope of inspiring and encouraging you. I also try to make you laugh.

You might be asking yourself, Why should I pay for this when I can read it for free? Reasonable question, and I hope my answer will resonate with you: Services and products cost money. Your $6 a month (or $60 a year) pays for everything that goes into making this a publication you will treasure. It supports for the hours I spend reading, writing, editing, and contributing to comments. It helps to cover all of the things that go into making this possible because there is no money tree in my backyard, nor is there a trust fund or a pool of investors funding this. You’re making it possible for me to do my best work, which I hope in turn supports you doing yours.
I also understand that not everyone can afford to subscribe, so if you’re making minimum wage or if you’re an undergrad with no discretionary income or if there’s some other reason that prohibits you from supporting at the $6 a month email me and just ask for a subscription :)
If you do have the means to fund one of these subscriptions—or to gift one to someone in your life or to donate a subscription, click here. And you can check out group subscriptions here.
Thank you so much for being a part of this! I’d love to hear from you, so if you have any suggestions or wild ideas, feel free to DM me through the app or email us at hello@coalitionsnow.com.
xxoo,
Jen Gurecki, she/her, CEO of Coalition Snow
